Senior Management Consultant

The overall objective is to request a seasoned, experienced professional with a strong background in the public sector to assist with identifying goals and objectives with balancing the department's budget and prioritizing its fiscal needs (current and future state). Additionally, this individual will serve in the capacity of a coach, mentoring high potential employees on the path to achieving various levels of management status.

Typical tasks include:

• Assist with evaluation of the Internal Service Fund and rate transparency, administration. This may include consultation with current County partners and other County staff.
• Work with TSS Fiscal team on high priority goals for the Financial Team.
• In conjunction with the Chief Information Officer and staff as appropriate, provide strategic and other guidance as requested and necessary to the Senior Team members on a variety of topics.
• Provide mentoring for managers and "high potentials" (Client) in group and individual settings as appropriate.
• Provide consultation on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) project. ERP will manage day-to-day business activities such as accounting, procurement, project management, risk management and compliance.

Training and experience:

Sufficient education, training, and experience to demonstrate the possession and direct application of the following knowledge and abilities.

Experience:

• Minimum of twenty (20) years' experience working in the core business functions of complex and diverse organizations – specifically Finance, Budget, and Accounting, Human Resources, and sizeable leadership teams

• Experienced with managing large and complex corporate, government and academic organizations

• Familiarity with IT organizations and the IT services they provide

• Experience with creating effective customer survey. Offer an executive's perspective on future projects in connection with the department's Innovation Lab.

Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to conduct high-level organization reviews, analysis, and recommendations grounded in data

On-Site Requirements: Hybrid – Mostly remote work with occasional onsite required for essential meetings
