As a Security Officer Access Gateway in New York, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic utilities location where you will monitor entry points, manage access control processes, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, badging activities, and other security-related policies at a utility location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas, control rooms, and other critical infrastructure spaces.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Maintain accurate access logs, visitor records, and incident documentation, and report unusual activity, equipment issues, and/or policy violations according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, gates, parking areas, and the perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Possess a TSA Issued TWIC.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
