Paralegal

ParalegalPerform standard legal support job responsibilities. Assist with pleadings, discovery, briefs, bankruptcy petitions, etc. Perform critical thinking and analytical activities. Review legal instruments. Verify that legal information is complete and accurate. Confirm that legal information is ready for proper execution. Assist attorneys and legal support staff. Conduct legal research for cases. Gather facts for cases and routine reports. Use legal databases for research and discovery. Evaluate and determine the correction of an action. Research legal records to ascertain conditions that might preclude an action. Help with scanning, exporting and importing data, etc. Perform initial review of petitions. Support case management. Maintain case files. Prepare memorandums, reports and correspondence. Take notes and prepare follow-on documentation. Work with technologies such as but not limited to IPRO, CaseMap, QuickBooks, and Microsoft.Progressive and relevant experience.Paralegal Certificate. Strong preference for an Associate degree or some college education. Preference for Bachelor's degree.Providence, RI 02903.Up to two (2) days per week.U.S. citizenship required since this role supports the U.S. federal government.Department of Justice.No travel required.40 hours per week. 8 hours per day.
