Staff RN - Women's and Newborn (casual)

Provides general nursing care to patients and families throughout the continuum of care in diverse, acute health care settings. The department operates 24/7/365. The RN is accountable for the practice of nursing as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing. The RN delegates nursing tasks to licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and unlicensed assistive personnel (UAPs) using the criteria written in the Ohio Nurse Practice Act. According to department policies and nursing care standards, the RN provides professional nursing care services to patients, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for assigned patients. Responsibilities and Duties Assessment/Diagnosis – Perform initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessments (30%). Outcomes Identification/Planning – Document planned nursing interventions based on diagnoses and collaborative problems to achieve outcomes (30%). Implementation/Evaluation – Evaluate and document responses to interventions, revising the plan of care as needed (20%). Leadership – Participate in process-improvement activities to achieve targeted measures of clinical quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance (10%). Operations – Focus on safety, quality, and efficiency in performing job duties (10%). Minimum Qualifications BLS – Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) RN – Registered Nurse, licensed by the Ohio Board of Nursing Experience as a Special Care Nursery RN (strongly preferred) Work shift: Variable.
