About the Role

As our Field Marking Manager , you'll play a key role in bringing the Express Flooring brand to life through high-impact events that generate excitement, build community connections, and drive business growth. You'll lead the planning and execution of local events, trade shows, home and garden shows, community partnerships, and company-hosted activations while recruiting, developing, and coaching a team of Brand Ambassadors who represent our brand in the field.

This is an opportunity for a strategic, hands-on leader who thrives on building high-performing teams, managing multiple priorities, and creating events that generate qualified leads and deliver measurable results. Working closely with the Director of Events, you'll help expand our event presence, optimize performance, and strengthen how we connect with homeowners in the communities we serve.

Job Type: In-Person; Full-Time
Compensation: $60,000-$70,000 annual salary
Location/Territory: Southern California | San Diego & Orange County areas
Regular Schedule: Thursday–Monday with Tuesday & Wednesday off; Weekend availability is required, as many of our events, trade shows, and community activations take place on Saturdays and Sundays.

Travel throughout the assigned territory is required based on the event schedule.

What You'll Do

Event Strategy & Execution

• Plan, coordinate, and execute a variety of local marketing events, including trade shows, home and garden shows, community partnerships, and company-hosted activations.
• Ensure every event is professionally executed, delivers an exceptional customer experience, and maximizes lead generation opportunities.
• Maintain event displays, promotional materials, and equipment to ensure brand standards are consistently met.

Team Leadership & Development

• Recruit, onboard, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Brand Ambassadors.
• Provide ongoing in-field, virtual, and in-person coaching focused on lead generation, customer engagement, sales methodology, and brand representation.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement through regular feedback and performance coaching.

Business Performance

• Partner with the Director of Events to execute strategies that improve event performance and achieve territory goals.
• Track budgets, event performance, and key metrics to evaluate success and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Prepare reports and communicate results, insights, and recommendations to leadership while managing resources to maximize return on investment.

Territory Growth & Talent Strategy

• Identify and secure new event opportunities, sponsorships, and community partnerships that expand Express Flooring's presence and support territory growth.
• Build and maintain relationships with local organizations, event coordinators, and community partners to strengthen our market presence.
• Partner with staffing agencies and recruiting teams to build a pipeline of Brand Ambassadors who deliver exceptional customer experiences and support market expansion.

What You'll Bring

Required

• 3–5 years of experience in event marketing, field marketing, sales, retail leadership, or a related field.
• Proven experience planning and executing events while leading and developing high-performing teams.
• Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and budgets.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate event performance and make data-driven decisions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to travel throughout the assigned territory and work weekends as required.

Preferred

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Full compensation packages are based on candidate experience and relevant certifications.
