About the Position

Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (06:45 - 15:15); Mid 5x8-Hour (14:45 - 23:15) Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year of strong operating room experience required License: Valid state license preferred Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Strong orthopedic skills Description: Position available for an Operating Room Registered Nurse. Candidates must have strong orthopedic skills. General surgical experience is a secondary requirement. Shifts are scheduled as 5x8-hour shifts with various start times. No first-time travelers will be accepted. Weekend coverage is required as needed. On-call duty is required, but only as necessary. Candidates may float within their scope to meet facility needs. Block scheduling may be accommodated. Locals are accepted. Pending licenses are accepted. There are no requests to be off for more than 5 days. Special requirements include a strong orthopedic background. The facility is an acute care teaching hospital with 317 staffed beds. Charting is done using Epic. Travelers may be required to float to affiliate hospitals. Candidates should possess a variety of surgical skills including, but not limited to, orthopedic, general, urology, and robotics. Candidates must have experience with the Epic charting system. One supervisory reference is required at the time of submission. The traveler must have been gone for 3 months from their last shift as a permanent employee. All candidates must complete pre-start modules.
