Location: New York (Rockefeller Center) – hybrid

Reporting to: Senior Vice President

Salary: $69,000 – $90,000 base, plus uncapped commission

We specialize across four core markets: Finance, Audit, Risk & Compliance; Actuarial & Banking; Underwriting, Broking, Claims & Legal; and Change & Technology.

We are looking for a Senior Delivery Associate to join our FARC team in New York. This is a specialist delivery role focused on the Accounting & Finance New York + Remote market, working closely with our client-facing consultants and a SVP who is one of Oliver James’ global top billers. You’ll take ownership of candidate delivery across a high volume of permanent mandates, working on searches where there is significant demand and strong earning potential.

The role supports a SVP / Divisional Director and global top biller within the Oliver James NYC office. The previous person in this position was also a Top 36 biller globally, driven by the volume and quality of placements they delivered alongside the SVP. This is a high-demand, high-output position — ideal for an established delivery recruiter who wants to focus heavily on delivery, work a specialist market and have the opportunity to become a top biller themselves.

Job description

• Owning candidate delivery across a portfolio of live permanent requirements, with accountability for fill rate and time to fill
• Headhunting hard-to-find talent, and building a specialist network of accounting and finance professionals
• Qualifying candidates in depth and advising them on market, salary and career options – consulting, not just processing
• Controlling the process from shortlist to start: interview preparation, feedback, offer negotiation and counter-offer management
• Building long-term candidate relationships that generate referrals, references and future placements
• Acting as a trusted partner to client-facing consultants and your SVP, sharing market intelligence and shaping delivery strategy
• Supporting and coaching newer Delivery Associates on the desk
• Referring high-quality talent to join Oliver James as the business grows

Who we're looking for

• A proven delivery or 360 recruiter with a consistent billing track record, ideally in the US market
• An established candidate network in one of our core markets, or the ability to build one quickly
• Credibility and gravitas with senior professionals
• Strong process control, including offer and counter-offer management
• Ambition to progress – whether towards leading a team or building a Business Partner career
