The schedule includes 3 weekend shifts and 1 call shift for RNs, as well as 2 call shifts for techs. RNs will work 3 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
Job Description
The Labor and Delivery unit at Centennial Hospital in Nashville consists of 12 beds, with a patient ratio of 1:2. Nurses on this unit will be responsible for the care of laboring patients, newborns immediately after delivery, and circulating and recovering patients from cesarean sections. Documentation is done using CPN and Meditach systems. The team includes RNs, a unit secretary, and OR techs.
Responsibilities
- Provide care for laboring patients.
- Care for newborns immediately after delivery.
- Circulate and recover patients post-cesarean section.
- Utilize CPN and Meditach for documentation.
Required Experience
Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience is required.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current RN license.
- NRP, ACLS, BLS certifications are required.
- AWHONN Intermediate or CEFM certification.
- FA certification for OR techs.
