**City/State:**Bronx, New York**Department:**Department Of Neurosurgery**Work Days:**MON-FRI**Scheduled Hours:**8 AM-5:30 PM**Scheduled Daily Hours:**8.5 HOURS**GENERAL NEUROSURGEON****THE DEPARTMENT OF NEUROLOGICAL SURGERY**At Montefiore Health System, the candidate will:* Staff neurosurgery clinics and/or faculty practice as assigned by Chair and Vice Chair of Neurosurgery.* Participate in the call schedule, along with clinical supervision of all Neurosurgery patients. Perform emergency and elective surgeries.* Involved in the education of residents, fellows, and students.* Seek out trials of new treatments for neurological disorders, participate in clinical trials, and identify potential patients for enrollment.* Perform research as appropriate based on background, experience, and career goals.**THE CANDIDATE**: The successful candidate must possess an MD and have completed a residency in neurological surgery.
