Security Officer (Flex)

Part Time Security OfficerSurefox North America Inc is a veteran owned company that strives to maintain a diverse and unique culture of trained and talented individuals. We are currently seeking experienced (part time) Security Officers with high integrity and professionalism with the ability to work, when called upon, in multiple Surefox locations servicing a variety of different clients. Security Officers are tasked with numerous functions in providing support to multiple programs within Surefox. You will be working on uniquely assigned projects under the guidance of the when called upon. The Part Time Security Officer is responsible for providing observation, physical security, and overwatch to assigned clients throughout Surefox Programs. Due to the sensitive nature of this role, we require our officers to pass a comprehensive background check. We are looking for someone who is a team player and willing to fulfill a variety of roles as needed when called upon. Security Officers when activated will be assigned to existing Surefox programs or special events located in the vicinity of both San Francisco and Sunnyvale, CA. Compensation for this position is $26.00. We are currently hiring for Days, Swings, and Grave Shifts.What You Will Do:Support staffing requirements at multiple Surefox campus locations during shortages due to vacations, call-offs, no shows, suspensions, holidays, or other program needsSupport and staff various positions, including, but not limited to the following job positions, as required: Resilience Officer, Incident Commander, SupervisorWork security at events, as requiredIf offered the opportunity, are expected to work on weekends and holidays with limited notice, and work during "high need" periodsExpect to work and support multiple shifts, to include; Days, Swings, and GravesStaff multiple office locations until permanent Resilience Officer or Incident Commanders can be hiredBe familiar and comply with standard operating procedures set by programs and/or clients you may be assistingDevelop relationships with clients, facilitate collaboration, and have the ability to influence informally across different departments within the teamCooperate with partnering security vendors or operations centersTrack and report on program performance assurance and compliance requirements within the provided guidelinesUtilize basic electronic communications devices, including cellular devices or radiosPerform security patrols of designated areas on foot, while monitoring accessWatch for unusual activity and respond immediately and safely to emergency situations onsiteContact the police or fire department if and when there is an emergencyPermit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exitsObserve departing personnel to protect against theft of company propertyPrepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activitiesProvide assistance to employees and create a safe and friendly environment for visitors and clients in a professional mannerAttend project meetings upon request to assess the security implications of proposed changesWork independently and adapt to various work-paces while always maintaining a high level of attentiveness and energyWhat is Required:Security Officers must be highly motivated Security Professionals who possess the ability to work at multiple Surefox locations with minimal training and supervisionMust be willing to work Days, Swings, and Grave shiftsMust be willing to work holidays and weekendsMust be eligible for employment within the United StatesMust be a minimum of 18 years old per state licensing guidelinesPossess a valid and current driver license and a clean driving recordMust be able to pass an extensive background check and drug screening (Surefox will consider for employment qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with all requirements of State and local laws, regulations or codes)Must live within driving distance of San Francisco Bay Area or be willing to relocateMust have a current BSIS guard cardMust have a high school diploma or equivalentDemonstrated competence in reacting to and handling emergenciesAbility to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgroundsGood judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisionsAbility to understand and follow written and verbal instructionsAbility to work independently and as a team memberWhat is Desired:Security or law enforcement related experience preferredMilitary background is a plusReport writing experience preferredCPR and First Aid Training is preferredIf you share our values and are ready to build your next career, we want to hear from you!
