Job Description & Responsibilities Assist the Information Officer II in communicating California’s single‑use packaging transition to the public. Translate complex policy requirements into speech materials, talking points, presentation slides, social media content, web copy, and other communications. Support a statewide communications strategy, produce creative and accessible content, and provide copy editing to ensure clarity and consistency across materials. Collaborate with stakeholders (businesses, local governments, communities) to explain the state’s landmark packaging law (SB 54) and its benefits for California’s environment and public health. Provide project‑management support for communication deliverables. Requirements Excellent written communication skills. Strong project‑management abilities. Experience in public communications, policy communications, or related fields.
