No local candidates within 50 miles. Schedule Monday through Friday, 8:00 PM to 4:30 AM. This position is for a 13-week assignment in the Histology Lab (Department 705A). Requirements include a minimum of 2 years of experience within the pathology laboratory specialty, and certification through ASCP (HT/HLT). Successful completion of a formal histology technologist training program or an Associate's degree in chemical, physical, or biological sciences is necessary. Responsibilities include receiving specimens from surgery, accessioning specimens into Cerner, collecting blocks from PA staff, processing tissue, embedding, cutting, and staining slides. Experience in Pathology, Cytology, and IHC is preferred.
