Family Support Specialist

Position Summary The Family Support Specialist is a 2‑year time‑limited position that supports families of children with special healthcare needs, reporting to the Program Manager and collaborating with the Program Coordinator. Responsibilities Provide service‑system navigation for families through in‑person, virtual, and social media interactions. Develop and facilitate support groups both in person and virtually. Develop and facilitate trainings for families and service providers in person and virtually. Engage with internal and external partners in family‑centered work. Utilize existing data collection systems to gather data for family work. Support other deliverables on a variety of projects with community organizations, including facilitation of groups, training, and technical assistance. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of training and experience from an accredited institution. Qualifications Experience developing and delivering training programs in both in‑person and virtual environments. Proficiency with training and collaboration platforms such as Zoom and Microsoft Office Suite. Lived experience as a special healthcare needs caregiver. Demonstrated experience in curriculum development. Strong writing skills.
