Position Status:Part timeShift:12 Hour Day Shift (United States of America)Hours per week:12Job InformationExemption Status: Non-ExemptA Brief OverviewPediatric, Young Adult Center, and PICU PCTs care for patients across the life span, including newborns through adulthood, providing patients with the best experience possible under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Successful pediatric PCTs are mature, adaptable, and detail-oriented. They require excellent communication and interpersonal skills when working with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team. This role allows for a wide range of versatility in pediatric, neonatal, and adult clinical practice. They perform a wide range of clinical tasks such as, but not limited to obtaining physiologic measurements, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), and assisting with procedures.Education QualificationsSuccessfully completed first semester in an accredited nursing program. Required orSuccessfully completed a medical assistant or patient care technician program. Required orA Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, Registered Medical Assistant, Certified Nursing Assistant, or Emergency Medical Technician may be substituted for the educational requirement.
