OPTI STAFFING GROUP IS HIRING Opening: Systems Administrator Location: Anchorage/ Fairbanks, AK Pay: $85,000–$95,000 DOE + Benefits COMPANY INFO: OPTI Staffing Group is partnering with one of Alaska's premier commercial real estate organizations to hire a Systems Administrator. This is an excellent opportunity for an IT professional who enjoys working with both on-premises and cloud technologies while supporting a growing, multi-site business. You'll be responsible for maintaining the company's core infrastructure, improving system performance, and helping ensure employees have reliable, secure technology every day. WHAT YOU'LL DO: Maintain and support the organization's server, network, and cloud environments to ensure dependable day-to-day operations Administer Microsoft technologies including Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Entra ID Monitor infrastructure performance, apply updates, and proactively address system issues before they impact users Support virtualization, storage, backup, and disaster recovery solutions to maximize uptime and protect business data Configure and maintain network connectivity across multiple office and property locations, including VPN and wireless services Assist with cybersecurity initiatives by managing access controls, security tools, patching, and system monitoring Provide advanced technical support for infrastructure-related issues and work closely with internal staff and outside vendors to resolve complex problems Participate in system upgrades, software deployments, cloud initiatives, and other IT improvement projects Create and maintain clear technical documentation for systems, processes, and procedures Identify opportunities to automate routine administrative tasks using scripting and other tools Participate in an on-call rotation to support critical systems when needed REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional IT education is a plus Two or more years of systems administration or infrastructure support experience Experience administering Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and enterprise user accounts Solid understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN connectivity, and wireless networking Experience supporting virtualization platforms, backup solutions, and cloud-based services is preferred Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID, SharePoint Online, PowerShell, or similar administration tools is a plus Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to prioritize multiple technical issues Excellent communication and customer service skills with a collaborative approach to problem-solving Experience supporting multiple locations or distributed environments is highly desirable Microsoft, CompTIA, or other industry certifications are a plus BENEFITS: Medical, dental, and vision insurance Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) Life and disability insurance 401(k) with employer match Paid Time Off (PTO) Paid Sick Leave Paid Holidays #J-18808-Ljbffr Opti Staffing
