WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a Food Services Cook, you'll help prepare and serve nutritious meals for clients across our programs while maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen. Responsibilities include: Preparing and cooking meals according to established menus Completing daily food preparation and kitchen setup Cooking banquet- or family-style meals (no individual restaurant orders) Following proper food handling, sanitation, and Health Department guidelines Opening and closing the kitchen each day Washing dishes and maintaining a clean work environment Receiving, organizing, and storing food deliveries Transporting food to nearby First Step House locations as needed Assisting with inventory and maintaining an organized kitchen

QUALIFICATIONS

Current Food Handler Permit (or ability to obtain upon hire) ( Required ) Valid driver's license ( Required ) One year of cooking or food service experience ( Preferred ) Experience preparing meals for large groups or institutional settings ( Preferred )
