The culture supports working both independently and as part of a team, with clear expectations, defined procedures, and the flexibility to contribute ideas for process and quality enhancements.
Work Environment
This role is based in an indoor, environmentally controlled sub-assembly and machining plant supporting aviation-related production. You will initially train on first shift, Monday through Friday from approximately 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for about 6–8 weeks. After training, you will work on second shift, Monday through Thursday from approximately 4:15 p.m. to 2:45 a.m. The work involves frequent repetitive movements and extended periods of sitting while working at a bench and on a computer, with occasional bending, twisting, and lifting of up to 50 pounds. You will regularly move between different departments and work in close physical proximity to other team members. The environment requires frequent communication via telephone, email, and face-to-face discussions, including participation in group meetings and, at times, public speaking within the organization. The pace is fast and deadline-driven, requiring sustained concentration, quick information processing, and the ability to switch between tasks without losing focus. You will work with hand and power tools, assembly fixtures, and computer systems, including production-related software. The setting emphasizes accuracy, consistency, and adherence to established procedures while still requiring flexibility and problem-solving in both structured and unstructured situations.
