Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Registered Respiratory Therapist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel We’re looking for Respiratory Care professionals for an immediate travel position opening in Seattle, WA. The right RT should have 1 year recent acute care experience. Read below for more requirements. Responsibilities Administer a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities to patients. Maintain appropriate patient records/documentation. Cleans, disinfects, assembles, calibrates, and maintains respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories; evaluates equipment for proper and safe function and reports malfunctions to director. Perform arterial puncture and analyze sample according to procedure guidelines. Interact with co‑workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care for patients being treated. Respond to emergent situations that require respiratory support. Physical Demands Respiratory Therapists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty. They must be able to lift 20 pounds easily; moving or lifting patients may require lifting up to 50 pounds at times. They must have specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Qualifications Minimum 1 year of experience in acute care. Must have BLS, ACLS. PALS and NRP may be required in some areas. Certification: BLS, RRT, NBRC (minimum 2 years experience). Compensation Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined. #J-18808-Ljbffr TotalMed
