These values form the backbone of our operations and have enabled us to maintain lasting relationships with clients, stakeholders, and communities alike.Job Summary:The Project Accountant plays a key role in the financial health of our construction projects by managing timely and accurate billing processes. This position is responsible for preparing monthly project billings, reviewing subcontractor invoices, tracking DBE participation, and supporting project close-out efforts. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proficient in Excel, and able to both work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Duties & Responsibilities:Prepare monthly project billings for public and private customersReview weekly subcontractor billings for the assigned projectsPrepare owner waivers and collect subcontractor waiversRequest release of subcontractor payments from APTrack DBE participationFacilitate project close-outReview of open Accounts receivables on a regular basisPrepare T&M billingsImport awarded projected into accounting and field tracking softwareOther duties as assignedRequired Skills & Abilities:Strong attention to detailIntermediate Excel skillsAbility to work independently or as a part of a teamAbility to multi-task and achieve results in a dynamic and ever-changing environmentExceptional communication skills to work with internal and external customersEducation & Experience:Bachelor’s in accounting or finance heavily preferred, or equivalent experience3 to 5 years of accounting related experience preferredHeavy highway or civil construction experience preferredExperience with Vista by Viewpoint is a plusBenefits & Additional Compensation:Medical, Dental & Vision BenefitsProfit Sharing401(k) Plan with up to 5% employer matchLeadership Development Coaching, Ongoing Training & Company Events13+ Days PTO and 10 Paid HolidaysThis role is targeting a range of $60-85k and is eligible for the company's incentive bonus program.Guided by our values of Family, Respect, Partnership, Integrity, and Improvement, this job description provides a general overview of responsibilities.
