This leadership role offers the opportunity to guide a talented team of professionals across a diverse portfolio of transportation and infrastructure projects. You’ll play a key role in shaping project outcomes, mentoring staff, and driving technical excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as a discipline lead, overseeing key tasks and ensuring quality deliverables across multiple projectsManage project schedules, budgets, and resources to meet client expectations and internal goalsMonitor labor budgets and task progress, ensuring efficient and timely executionLead and support marketing and business development efforts, including proposal development and client presentationsFoster strong client relationships through professional, responsive communication and engagementOversee the design and development of highway projects using OpenRoads and Civil 3DCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to produce detailed design documents for preliminary, right-of-way, and construction phasesPerform and review complex engineering calculations related to roadway geometry, grading, drainage, and roadside safetyProvide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and design staffManage multiple assignments simultaneously, maintaining high standards of quality and performanceQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related fieldMinimum of 15 years of experience in highway design, including roadway geometry, grading, drainage, and traffic engineeringExperience in maintenance and protection of traffic (MPT) planning and designProfessional Engineer (PE) license in Massachusetts and/or Connecticut (or ability to obtain via reciprocity)Proven track record in project and team management, with strong leadership and organizational skillsExcellent written and verbal communication abilitiesFamiliarity with Massachusetts and/or Connecticut Department of Transportation standards and proceduresProficiency in MicroStation and OpenRoads; experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D is also preferredBenefits & RewardAt Mott MacDonald, our employees have a stake and a voice in our business, providing them with a direct connection to our success through our personal and group performance bonuses. Individual pay is determined based on several factors such as work location, education, experience, and unique skills.The expected salary for this position is $149,000 - $183,000.
