Work Schedule Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Salary Range: $36.17 - 45.86 Hourly

Job Qualifications

Required:

• Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT1 or 2).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program.
• Minimum 2-3 years of phlebotomy experience.
• Proficiency in venipuncture, skin puncture, and pediatric draws.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in high-volume settings.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
• Ability to lift or carry up to 30 lbs of supplies or equipment.
• Manual dexterity to operate lab equipment and perform blood draws safely.
• Ability to travel between UCLA Health community oncology practice sites as needed.
• Skill in performing with frequent interruptions and/or distractions including the ability to respond to changing priorities and deadlines.

Preferred:

• 1 year of experience with EMR and LIS systems.
• Understanding of oncology patient needs, including infection prevention for immunocompromised individuals.
• Familiarity with research specimen handling and documentation.
