Job Description
The Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks, in Fayetteville, AR, is seeking a full-time, Pathologist . We are fully committed to providing top quality medical care by serving and honoring America’s Veterans.
Candidates must possess an active, current, unrestricted license in any U.S. State.
Ideal Candidate is: Board Certified/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
Highlights of this opportunity:
- Potential starting base salary range: $200K-$275K
- Permanent full-time position
- Daily schedule, to be discussed during interview. 24 hour on-call rotation.
- Provide final diagnostic interpretation for all specimens processed within the laboratory
- Perform gross examination of surgical specimens
- Conduct and interpret intraoperative frozen sections
- Participate in multi-disciplinary conferences and committees
- Order and interpret immunohistochemical and special stains
- Provide immediate adequacy assessments for CT-guided or image-guided procedures
- Interpret gynecologic and non-gynecologic cytology specimens
- Interpret peripheral blood smears submitted for pathologist review
