Club & Community Impact Officer
The Bridge Consultancy-Bridging Together
Help Build What’s Next for Boys & Girls Clubs of King County Boys & Girls Clubs of King County (BGCKC) is growing and investing in the people who will help shape its future. For more than 80 years, BGCKC has created places where young people can learn, grow, build relationships, and discover what is possible. Today, the organization serves more than 18,000 youth across King County through Clubhouses and school-based Clubs. BGCKC is committed to making these opportunities accessible to families across King County and works hard to ensure that cost is not a barrier to participation. Growth at BGCKC also means investing in its people. The organization values learning, professional development, collaboration, and giving talented people opportunities to grow along with the organization. A Community-Centric Approach to Fundraising This is not a traditional fundraising role. BGCKC believes that strong communities are built when the people closest to the work have meaningful opportunities to shape it, participate in it, and support it. The Club & Community Impact Officer will bring a community-centric approach to fundraising and engagement—one that begins with relationships, listens to community voices, recognizes that people contribute in many different ways, and sees donors as partners in the work rather than simply sources of revenue. Fundraising is important, but it is not the starting point. Community is. The Officer will build authentic relationships with Club families, alumni families, volunteers, Club Advisory Board members, local businesses, donors, and community supporters. The goal is to create pathways for people to participate in ways that are meaningful to them—as volunteers, advocates, ambassadors, community leaders, fundraisers, and donors. This approach recognizes that generosity is bigger than a check. Time, relationships, lived experience, advocacy, connections, leadership, and financial contributions can all strengthen a community. What You’ll Do The strongest fundraising stories and community connections begin in the Clubs. You will spend time with Club staff, families, volunteers, and community members—learning what is happening, building trust, and making sure the people closest to the work feel connected to and valued by the broader organization. Build strong, authentic relationships with Club staff and become a trusted partner who listens, follows through, and understands the opportunities and challenges in individual Clubs. Build long‑term relationships with Club families, alumni families, community members, volunteers, donors, and prospective supporters. Work with Club staff to identify and share the stories, experiences, and impact that help donors and the broader community understand what happens every day in BGCKC Clubs. Create stronger connections between Club staff and the Development team so information, stories, community needs, and opportunities flow in both directions. Grow Community Engagement and Philanthropy You will help create multiple ways for people to support BGCKC, recognizing that generosity can include time, relationships, leadership, advocacy, connections, and financial support. Develop pathways that move people from participation to deeper engagement through volunteering, leadership, advocacy, fundraising, and giving. Manage and cultivate a portfolio of parent and community-based donors and prospects and create giving opportunities connected to Club and community priorities. Recruit, develop, and strengthen Club Advisory Boards and coach members, families, and community leaders to become ambassadors, connectors, and fundraisers. Engage families, volunteers, and Club Advisory Board members in signature events and other opportunities to strengthen their connection to BGCKC. Who You Are You Are a Relationship Builder You understand that trust comes before the ask. You are as comfortable spending time with Club staff and families as you are meeting with a donor or community leader. You listen before proposing solutions and take the time to understand what people need and value. You build relationships naturally with people from different backgrounds, identities, roles, and experiences. You know how to earn the trust of frontline staff and respect the knowledge and perspective that comes from being closest to the work. You connect people and ideas and help people see how they can contribute to something larger than themselves. You see fundraising as more than raising money. You understand that strong philanthropy can bring people together, strengthen relationships, elevate community voices, and create shared ownership of a mission. You believe donors should be partners in the work and that communities should have meaningful opportunities to shape and support the organizations that serve them. You recognize that people contribute in different ways and value time, lived experience, advocacy, relationships, leadership, and financial support. You are comfortable talking about philanthropy and inviting people to support work they care about. You can balance a community-centric approach with measurable fundraising, engagement, and relationship‑building goals. Why BGCKC? This is an opportunity to join an established organization that is growing, evolving, and investing in its future. You will have the chance to build something—not simply inherit a program. You will help BGCKC develop a stronger model for engaging families and communities, strengthen Club Advisory Boards, expand community-powered philanthropy, and create new pathways for people throughout King County to invest their time, relationships, leadership, resources, and financial support in young people. Most importantly, your work will help ensure that more young people have access to the experiences, relationships, and opportunities they deserve. BGCKC offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance; 401(k) employer matching; paid time off and holidays; ORCA card and mileage reimbursement; tuition assistance; an employee assistance program; and a 100% employee discount on childcare fees. BGCKC also invests in employee learning, professional development, and career growth. #J-18808-Ljbffr The Bridge Consultancy-Bridging Together
