Join the team at Harry's Seafood Bar and Grille as a SERVER. ***APPLY NOW*** to join our SERVER team. Our mission is to not only to create raving fans of our guests, but also of our employees. The essential functions of a SERVER include, but are not limited to the following:
- Warmly greet guests, creating a welcoming guest experience
- Maintain complete knowledge of restaurant's food and beverage preparation
- Sell alcohol and food items
- Share menu knowledge by making menu recommendations and answering questions about food allergies and ingredients
- Enter and complete customers' orders on computer system; accept different types of payment and make change
- Actively listen with a friendly demeanor during guest interactions to anticipate needs
- Deliver food and drinks with speed and a sense of urgency
- Fill and refill beverages, clear tables, and manage multiple tables
- Check with customers to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.
- Dedication to becoming a "seller" and not an "order taker".
- Demonstrate ownership of sidework and closing tasks to maintain cleanliness and organization
- Clear and reset tables as needed.
- Follow instructions, procedures, and alcohol service guidelines
- Report to work in a neat and clean uniform; maintain well-groomed hair and personal hygiene as established by company policy
- Guide guests in beer and spirit selections while demonstrating strong wine knowledge
- Perform other duties as directed
A Server should possess the following Qualifications & Experience:
- Ability to pass Responsible Service of Alcohol Test with a score of 90% or better
- Experience with payment processing and basic math skills
- Basic computer skills
- Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a high-volume environment
- Knowledge of workplace safety procedures
- Passion for hospitality, guest satisfaction, and teamwork
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds, stand for extended periods, continuously bend, reach and twist
- Must be at least 18 years old
