Senior Accountant - Investment Accounting

Austin, TX | Hybrid | $90,000–$95,000 + 15% Bonus Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join a collaborative accounting team and take ownership of a variety of investment and corporate accounting responsibilities. This is an excellent opportunity for an accountant who enjoys more complex accounting, wants exposure to investment operations, and is looking for a stable organization with room for growth. What You'll Do Prepare and review monthly financial statements and reporting Support quarterly investor reporting and related deliverables Assist with GAAP financial reporting and Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations Perform and support fair value accounting and valuation-related activities Prepare and analyze cash flow reporting and related accounting activity Perform account reconciliations and research variances Prepare journal entries and supporting schedules Support the month-end and quarter-end close processes Assist with audit requests and financial reporting requirements Work with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze financial information Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting Participate in automation and process-improvement initiatives Take ownership of assigned accounting areas and serve as a resource to the broader team What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 2–4+ years of accounting experience At least two busy seasons of audit experience within a top tier accounting firm CPA or CPA-path candidates preferred Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP Experience with financial reporting and month-end close Investment accounting, real estate, private equity, asset management, or financial services experience is highly desirable Big 4 public accounting experience is preferred Exposure to fair value accounting, NAV calculations, or investment reporting is a plus Strong Excel skills and comfort working with accounting systems and technology Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a broader team Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities Why This Opportunity This is not a purely transactional Senior Accountant position . The role provides exposure to investment accounting, valuation, investor reporting, cash flow, and complex real estate assets while working within an established and increasingly automated accounting environment. The Austin team provides strong visibility and opportunities to take on additional responsibility and grow within the organization.
