2nd Shift Forklift Driver

Position Summary

Hanover Foods Corporation is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Checker to support warehouse and distribution operations. This position is responsible for inventory accuracy, distribution reporting, audits, forklift operation, and ensuring products are received, stored, and shipped accurately while maintaining food safety and quality standards.
Essential Responsibilities

• Perform inventory control, distribution, and audit functions.
• Operate a forklift safely and conduct daily equipment inspections.
• Verify trailers are properly chocked before loading or unloading.
• Assist with cycle counts and physical inventories.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse computer systems.
• Follow GMP, HACCP, food safety, quality, and plant security procedures.
• Assist in training new employees as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to accurately enter and maintain inventory records.
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Good attendance and dependable work history.
• Ability to safely operate or become certified to operate a forklift.
• Commitment to workplace safety and food safety standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous warehouse, inventory, shipping, or distribution experience.
• Prior forklift experience or certification.
• Experience in a food manufacturing or processing environment.
• Familiarity with inventory control or warehouse management systems.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently stand and walk throughout the workday.
• Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials.
• Frequently bend, reach, squat, and perform repetitive hand movements.
• Lift up to 100 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Work in warehouse environments, including refrigerated or temperature-controlled areas.
• Safely perform duties in a safety-sensitive position.
