Collections Specialist

Hiring now for a motivated, results-oriented B2B Collections Specialist to join our growing team in Galena Park. In this role, you'll play a key part in maintaining healthy customer accounts by proactively contacting clients regarding outstanding balances, negotiating payment solutions, and delivering exceptional customer service every step of the way. Key Functions: Contact customers by phone, email and written correspondence to collect outstanding payments. Work with internal management to negotiate repayment plans and resolve disputes to bring accounts current. Maintain accurate records of all communications and payment arrangements in the company’s system. Review accounts to determine the best course of action for debt recovery in compliance with applicable laws (i.e., FDCPA) Work closely with internal teams, such as operations and finance, to resolve billing issues. Work with internal management to escape accounts when necessary for legal or further collection actions. Meet or exceed monthly collection targets and key performance indicators (KPIs). Provide exceptional service by building rapport with customers and offering internal management approved solutions to help them meet their obligations. Stay current on relevant collection laws, regulations and company policies. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred) Minimum 2 years of proven experience as a B2B collections agent Familiarity with relevant legal requirements and regulations regarding debt collection (FDCPA, GDPR, etc.). Proficient with MS Office and ability to learn new accounting software.
