Gibson Electric Membership Corporation has a Vice President of Broadband and IT position now open for our Trenton Member Service Center.Position Summary:Manages the business functions of the broadband subsidiary. Manages Gibson Electric's and Gibson Connect's technical service (IT) activities, including cybersecurity and AI utilization. Manages Gibson's fiber optic network, including middle-mile. Qualified applicants must have:Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering or closely related field. Valid Class D Tennessee Driver's LicenseFive years of progressively responsible experience in information technology and/or fiber/telecommunicationsFive years of supervisory/management experienceKnowledge of complex telecommunication network systems operationsThorough knowledge of federal and state regulations related to internet, voice and video servicesThree years of experience leading cybersecurity effortsIt is preferred that the applicant have certifications or courses related to information technology and fiber/telecommunications and five or more years of experience managing the operation of a division of telecommunications in an electric cooperative; managing technical services in the electrical distribution field, preferably with a cooperative; and supervisory experience at an electric distribution cooperative.BENEFITS:This position will receive an excellent benefits package including medical insurance, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability insurance, defined benefit plan, 401(k) match, Paid Time Off, and paid holidays.TO APPLY:If you meet the above qualifications and would like to apply, visit to view the full position description, complete the required application form, and provide all post high school transcripts.
