Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and motivated bilingual Dental Assistant/Treatment Coordinator to join our team. This dual-role position combines excellent patient care with strong administrative and clinical support. The ideal candidate will have outstanding communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced ORAL SURGERY office. Fluency in both English and Spanish is required to effectively communicate with our diverse patient population.

Key Responsibilities:

• Answer incoming phone calls and schedule patient appointments.
• Verify dental insurance benefits and eligibility.
• Prepare and present treatment plans, explaining recommended procedures and financial options to patients.
• Submit insurance pre-authorizations and follow up on outstanding claims.
• Take high-quality digital dental X-rays while following all safety protocols.
• Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures.
• Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain infection control standards.
• Update and maintain accurate patient records.
• Educate patients on treatment recommendations, post-operative instructions, and oral hygiene.
• Coordinate patient care to ensure a positive and efficient experience from check-in through treatment completion.
• Collaborate with the clinical and administrative team to maintain a productive and welcoming office environment.

Qualifications:

• Bilingual (English and Spanish) required.
• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant and/or Treatment Coordinator preferred.
• Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and insurance verification.
• Experience with dental practice management software is preferred.
• Ability to take digital dental X-rays (X-ray certification as required by state regulations).
• Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a team-oriented environment.
• Current Dental Assistant certification and CPR certification, if required by state law.
