The Registered Nurse (RN) focuses on safe, effective patient-centered care. Customer satisfaction and quality outcomes are key priorities. The RN is responsible for maintaining a financially stable unit. Promoting personal development with an emphasis on evidence-based practice is essential. The RN supervises both licensed and non-licensed staff members. The RN assesses, develops, implements, and evaluates the plan of care. The RN prioritizes patient and family comfort, education, and satisfaction. Educational and professional experiences are applied in the delivery of quality care. Mentoring and precepting staff are important responsibilities. Key responsibilities include performing assessments and reassessments per policy. The RN demonstrates the ability to make sound independent decisions. Plans of care are initiated, prioritized, implemented, and revised as needed. Collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary services is essential. Monitoring and documenting responses to clinical interventions are required. Education is facilitated and evaluated based on patient and family needs. The RN functions as a mentor and promotes teamwork among staff. Opportunities for improvement are identified and communicated appropriately. Participation in quality, safety, and service process improvement efforts is expected. Compliance with regulatory standards is necessary. Participation in the Practice Governance model is required.
