About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM) Experience: Minimum of 2 years of acute inpatient RN experience License: Registered Nurse Certifications: BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Patient Assessment, Care Plan Development, Care Plan Implementation, Care Plan Evaluation, Patient Education Description: A professional nurse is accountable for the care of a group of patients. The Registered Nurse (RN) focuses on safe, effective, patient-centered care and customer satisfaction. The RN is responsible for maintaining a financially stable unit and promoting personal development. The RN supervises licensed and non-licensed staff members. Using the caring processes of a recognized model of care, the RN assesses, develops, implements, and evaluates the plan of care. The RN focuses on patient and family comfort, education, and satisfaction. The RN applies education and professional experience to deliver quality care and mentor staff. Job Responsibilities: Assessment: Performs assessments and reassessments per policy or as warranted by patient condition. Demonstrates the ability to make sound independent decisions. Development and Implementation: Initiates, prioritizes, and implements the plan of care. Reviews and revises the plan as indicated. Collaborates with patient and family and interdisciplinary services. Utilizes resources appropriately to support the organization and patient needs. Evaluation: Monitors and documents responses to clinical interventions. Education: Facilitates and evaluates education specific to patient and family needs. Leadership: Delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed personnel. Functions as a mentor and demonstrates teamwork. Identifies opportunities for improvement and participates in quality and safety improvement efforts. Complies with regulatory standards. Participates in the governance model. Required Skills: Two years of acute care RN experience. Preferred Skills: N/A
