Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: IMC Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in specialty License: State RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Telemetry oncology, cardiac, and progressive care unit experience required. Ventilator and transplant experience preferred. Description: Join a dedicated team providing high-quality care for patients in an acute medical and progressive care setting. Workday will typically be from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with every other weekend and some holidays required. Responsibilities include caring for patients with lung and esophageal diseases and performing procedures such as chest tube insertion. Engage in strong teamwork, provide compassionate care, and employ critical thinking during patient interactions. Participate in developing a dynamic care unit and integrate evidence-based nursing practices. Required skills include managing various medical devices, IV insulin protocols, and interpreting dysrhythmias. Additional responsibilities include performing phlebotomy, managing central lines, and ensuring patient safety through isolation precautions. Travelers may need to float to different areas as needed, and a telemetry exam must be passed before starting. Candidates should have solid experience in both ICU or IMC settings. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in cardiac telemetry interpretation and pass required tests to ensure competency.
