Description:
Nights, 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30.
Every other weekend and holiday rotation is expected.
The position involves providing specialized care to post-transplant patients with various conditions including kidney, pancreas, and liver transplants.
You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
Empower patients through comprehensive education and support during their transplant journey.
The nursing unit consists of 32 beds and cares for adult patients.
You will manage a patient ratio of 4:1.
Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, rapid response teams, and pharmacy.
The unit handles patients with renal transplants, pancreas transplants, liver transplants, and related medical issues.
You must possess skills in telemetry, blood product administration, IV management, hemodialysis management, and wound care.
You will be required to float as needed among units.
Additional skills in managing drugs such as insulin and heparin are preferred.
