DBA Perry Hotel, Bay View Inn, Crooked River Lodge, Pier Restaurant, Weathervane Restaurant located at 100 Lewis Street, Petoskey, MI 49770 (Main-Perry Hotel); 2011 Woodland Avenue, Petoskey, MI 49770 (Bay View); 6845 US-31, Alanson, MI 49706 (Crooked River Lodge); 102 East Bay Street, Harbor Springs, MI 49740 (Pier Restaurant); and 106 Pine River Lane, Charlevoix, MI 49720 (Weathervane Restaurant). . Taking drink and food orders, mixing, preparing, and serving alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks and food to patrons, directly or through waitstaff, at the bar or at tables. Prep, stock, and clean bar areas before and after shift. Present checks and collect payment from patrons. May be required to perform duties in an outdoor environment at banquet events and parties held in dining facilities. 35 hours per week. Days per week vary. Shifts include 30-minute unpaid break time. Hours and shift times may vary with occupancy. OT may be available and varies. Must be able to work a flexible 6-day schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed. Work may be performed on any day of the week from Monday through Sunday. No minimum education required. 12 months of related experience is required. Post-employment criminal background check and drug testing upon employer's reasonable suspicion of an employee's drug use. Work will be performed at five locations, all within 30 minutes of each other in Emmet and Charlevoix counties. A worker shuttle may be provided for transportation between housing and job sites. Bikes are provided. Wage: $19.55/hour. OT Wage: $29.33/hour. The hourly wage is a combination of a base wage + tips. If tips are not sufficient to equal the stated hourly wage, employer will make up the difference to equal the stated hourly wage. There is a possibility of more pay if tips are higher than the stated wage. Workers paid biweekly. Optional board/lodging available to be deducted from pay if elected at a cost of $150/week. Housing deposit of $150 is due and can be paid either through payroll deduction or upon arrival. Fully refundable upon successful check-out of housing. Housing rebate of 15% of housing cost of employer-provided room or room and board is available upon successful completion of the season. In accordance with applicable Michigan state law, Earned Sick Time Act 338, employers are required to provide earned sick time to their employees. The amount of paid sick leave provided may vary depending on the size of the business. On the job training provided. Raises and/or bonuses may be offered to any worker in the specified occupation, at the company's sole discretion, based on individual factors including work performance, skill and tenure. Single workweek will be used to compute wages due. All deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law will be made. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, the employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for workers' reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker's voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved.
