Job Description
Registered Nurse - PCU

Schedule

Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (18:45 - 07:15).

Assignment Details

Guaranteed 3 shifts per 13 weeks; may require floating between departments and facilities as needed.

Requirements

• 2 years of experience required.
• Strong ventilator experience required.
• Certifications: BLD, NIHSS.
• Experience in MS/Tele, Telemetry, and Cardiac Telemetry.
• Experience with medication management including heparin protocols and cardiac drips (no titration).
• Familiarity with EMR system: Epic.
• Home address must be at least 75 miles from the facility.
• RTO restrictions: No more than 7 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care for those with pulmonary conditions in a stepdown setting.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings and manage cardiac dysrhythmias.
• Administer and manage IV therapy, including blood product administration.
• Care for ventilated patients and those with tracheostomies, including chest tubes and non-invasive management.
• Conduct pre/post hemodialysis management and support patients with renal failure.
• Follow isolation precautions and participate in emergency response situations.
