Position Overview:

The  Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)will play a crucial role in supporting the Director of Nursing in overseeing and managing the nursing department. The ideal candidate will be a skilled and compassionate nursing professional with strong leadership abilities. The  ADON  will work closely with the nursing staff to ensure the delivery of outstanding patient care while adhering to regulatory standards.

Responsibilities of an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON):

• Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care policies and procedures.
• Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Conduct regular assessments of resident care needs and ensure that care plans are developed and implemented effectively.
• Monitor and maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
• Assist in the recruitment, training, and development of nursing staff.
• Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance resident well-being and satisfaction.
• Handle administrative duties as needed, including scheduling, budgeting, and reporting.

Qualifications of an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON):

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Jersey.
• Experience in nursing leadership roles, preferably in a long-term care setting.
• Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations related to nursing home care.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals.
• Proficient in computer skills and familiarity with electronic health record systems.
