Compensation

Hourly Pay Range: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
Equivalent Annual Salary: Approximately $31,200 - $52,000 (based on full-time employment)

Actual compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, skills, performance, and business needs.

Position Summary

The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for leading the Housekeeping Department to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for members, guests, and team members. This position oversees the recruitment, training, scheduling, coaching, and development of the housekeeping team while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency.

The Housekeeping Manager partners with club leadership to support member satisfaction, employee engagement, and the overall success of the club.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

• Recruit, hire, onboard, train, coach, and develop housekeeping team members.
• Foster a professional, positive, and service-oriented work environment.
• Schedule staff to provide appropriate club coverage while effectively managing payroll budgets.
• Conduct department meetings, training sessions, and ongoing coaching.
• Provide regular performance feedback and complete performance evaluations.
• Document employee performance concerns and administer corrective action when appropriate.
• Complete and submit new hire paperwork prior to scheduling new employees.
• Coordinate orientations for new team members.
• Maintain accurate personnel records and department documentation.
• Promote teamwork and ensure employees follow the proper chain of command.

Member Experience

• Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting members with a welcoming, friendly, and professional attitude.
• Build positive relationships with members and guests.
• Respond promptly and professionally to member concerns or comments.
• Serve as a role model for outstanding customer service and professionalism.
• Communicate club promotions, events, and operational updates to team members.

Department Operations

• Ensure the club is consistently clean, sanitary, safe, and well-maintained.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, Service Standards, and emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular inspections of club cleanliness and housekeeping performance.
• Create and monitor daily cleaning assignments and completion checklists.
• Schedule and supervise Housekeeping Attendants to maximize productivity while managing labor costs.
• Order and maintain appropriate inventory levels of cleaning products, supplies, and equipment.
• Record maintenance issues and facility repair needs in the club Maintenance Log.
• Report workplace accidents or incidents immediately and complete required documentation.
• Conduct end-of-shift walkthroughs with Housekeeping team members to ensure quality standards are met and provide coaching as needed.

• Input and manage your weekly work schedule in the club's scheduling platform by established deadlines, maintaining full accountability for schedule accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to club staffing need

Communication & Collaboration

• Maintain open and professional communication with club leadership and company department leadership.
• Participate in club, department, and company meetings.
• Communicate departmental goals, updates, and expectations effectively.
• Partner with other departments to support a clean, safe, and welcoming club environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of six (6) months of supervisory or personnel management experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Red Cross CPR/AED Certification required within 60 days of hire.

Preferred

• Previous housekeeping, custodial, hospitality, facilities, or operations management experience.
• Experience with inventory management and scheduling.
• Knowledge of workplace safety and sanitation standards.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, climb, and reach throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to safely use cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and around cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to move throughout all areas of the club.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position requiring flexibility to meet business needs. The schedule may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
