Atlassian Administrator / Developer (Jira Cloud, JSM, JPD)

Overview / Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Atlassian Administrator / Developer with strong expertise in Jira Cloud, Jira Service Management (JSM), Jira Product Discovery (JPD), and Assets. In this role, you will support, manage, and optimize the Atlassian ecosystem while helping engineering and business teams effectively leverage the platform for project management, issue tracking, and product discovery.

The ideal candidate will work collaboratively within an Agile environment, provide technical leadership, apply industry best practices, and contribute to platform development, integration, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• 6–10 years of overall IT experience.

• Minimum 4 years of focused experience in Atlassian administration and development.

• Proven hands-on experience administering and supporting Atlassian Cloud products.

• Strong expertise in:

• Jira

• Jira Service Management (JSM)

• Jira Product Discovery (JPD)

• Assets (formerly Insight)

• Strong working knowledge of Confluence.

• Experience designing and maintaining integrations between Atlassian products and external systems.

• Experience developing workflows, automation rules, scripts, and API integrations.

• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and root-cause analysis skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to work across global teams and time zones.

Preferred Qualifications

• Atlassian Certified Professional (ACP) certification, such as Jira Administrator for Cloud.

• Development experience with Python or Shell/Bash scripting.

• Familiarity with Atlassian/Jira REST APIs.

• Hands-on experience with GitHub.

• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Experience with API development and automation initiatives.
