Reliability Engineer

Reliability Engineer Walor North America is looking for a Reliability Engineer to join its Maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for improving equipment reliability, reducing unplanned downtime, and supporting long-term asset performance within a forging and machining manufacturing environment. This role works closely with maintenance, engineering, production, and quality teams to develop and implement reliability-centered maintenance strategies, analyze equipment failures, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that improve operational efficiency, safety, and productivity. What you will do Develop and implement reliability improvement strategies for forging, machining, and facility equipment. Analyze equipment failures, downtime trends, and maintenance data to identify root causes and corrective actions. Lead root cause analysis investigations for recurring equipment and process failures. Support preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance programs. Develop and optimize maintenance procedures, PM schedules, and equipment standards. Monitor and improve key maintenance and reliability KPIs including MTBF, MTTR, downtime, and PM compliance. Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to reduce unplanned downtime and improve equipment availability. Support troubleshooting of complex hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems. Assist with capital projects, equipment upgrades, and new equipment installations to improve long-term reliability. Evaluate equipment performance and recommend modifications or upgrades to improve reliability and maintainability. Support lubrication management, vibration analysis, thermography, and other predictive maintenance technologies. Maintain equipment history, reliability records, and technical documentation within the CMMS system. Assist with spare parts management and critical spare identification. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and company standards. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational efficiency and cost reduction. Provide technical guidance and training to maintenance and operations personnel. Other duties as assigned. What you will bring Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred. Minimum of 3–5 years of reliability engineering, maintenance engineering, or industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience in forging, machining, automotive, steel, or heavy industrial manufacturing preferred. Strong knowledge of industrial equipment, maintenance systems, and reliability principles. Experience with root cause analysis methodologies and continuous improvement tools. Understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, mechanical, and automated systems. Experience using CMMS software and maintenance reporting systems. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and organizational skills. Excellent communication and project management abilities. Reliability certifications such as CMRP or CRL preferred. Experience with predictive maintenance technologies including vibration analysis, infrared thermography, ultrasound, or oil analysis. Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or TPM experience. Familiarity with forging presses, CNC machining equipment, induction systems, furnaces, conveyors, robotics, and automated manufacturing systems. Experience with PLC troubleshooting and industrial controls. Knowledge of asset lifecycle management and maintenance planning strategies. What is in it for you?
