The Oyster Shucker/Line Cook works in a fast-paced, fine dining kitchen environment, specializing in shellfish preparation and the assembly of high-quality dishes. This role requires not only culinary expertise but also direct interaction with customers, ensuring exceptional service and food safety throughout.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and shuck shellfish for service
- Cook and assemble dishes on the line following quality standards
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and sanitation
- Conduct quality control to ensure freshness and presentation
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Provide occasional direct customer service and address inquiries
- Adhere to safety and health regulations
- Collaborate effectively with team members to maintain service flow
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in culinary arts
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in seafood handling
- Knowledge of food safety protocols
- Proficient knife skills
- Familiarity with sanitation procedures
- Strong time management abilities
- Attention to detail in food preparation and service
