JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a Part-Time Medical Assistant, Certified for our Fertility Center in Morrisville, NC . The role involves providing direct and indirect patient care as an integral part of the healthcare team.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform patient intake, including vital signs, visit information, and other clinical data. Manage telephone messages, document encounters, follow clinic protocols, and inform providers. Administer medications as ordered by providers or per established protocols, following the six rights of medication administration. Assist providers with procedures such as saline-infused sonograms, hysteroscopies, ultrasounds, and other bedside procedures. Participate in performance improvement projects. Assist in procedural areas, including setup, high-level disinfection, sterilization, and other tasks within scope of practice. Perform venipuncture using correct techniques. Float across clinics to meet patient and provider needs, including potential weekend and holiday rotations, as delegated by the nurse manager or team lead.

JOB ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program (CAAHEP or ABHES) strongly preferred. High school diploma or GED required. Certification by AAMA, AMT, NHA-CCMA, NCMA, or ARMA required.
