Responsibilities Position the patient on the examining table and adjust immobilization devices to obtain optimum view of specific areas of body requested by physician. Explain procedures to patient to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation. Move x‑ray equipment into specified positions and adjust equipment controls to set exposure factors such as time and distance. Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff. Obtain patient’s pertinent history. Maintain the crash cart. Maintain and stock inventory. Maintain OSHA regulations. Perform other projects and duties related to department objectives. Must be able to get along with others, be a team player, accept constructive criticism from supervisor, and follow work rules. Report to lead technologist for work assignments. Assist with film quality control. Required to work evening and holidays with responsibility for the operation of the department. Assist and relieve manager expediting the patient workflow through the department. Qualifications Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two‑year college or technical school; or six months to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be AART registered or eligible, also IDNS licensed. CPR certification. Minimum 6 months related experience; or 2 years related experience. The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $28.84–$38.90, with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity.
