X-Ray technologist PRN

Position Highlights: Sign on Bonus: $2,500 Location: Schaumburg, Bloomingdale, Glen Ellyn Hours: Varied; Monday‑Friday shifts from 7:00 am – 9:00 pm, Saturday/Sunday from 8:00 am – 4:00 pm, holidays and travel as needed. Responsibilities Operate radiologic equipment to produce radiographs (x‑rays) of body for diagnostic purposes, as directed by the radiologist. Position patient on examining table and adjust immobilization devices to obtain optimum view of requested body areas. Explain procedures to patient to reduce anxieties and obtain cooperation. Move x‑ray equipment into specified positions and adjust equipment controls to set exposure factors such as time and distance. Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize dose to patient and staff. Obtain patient’s pertinent history. Maintain crash cart, inventory, and OSHA regulations. Perform other projects and duties as related to department objectives. Work as a team player, accept constructive criticism, and follow work rules. Report to lead technologist for work assignments. Assist with film quality control. Be required to work evenings, holidays, and assume responsibility for department operation. Assist and relieve the manager expediting patient workflow through the department. Qualifications Education: Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two‑year college or technical school; or six‑month to two‑year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be AART registered or eligible and IDNS licensed. CPR certification. Experience: 6 months of related experience, or 2 years related experience. The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $28.84‑$38.90, with actual pay determined by skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity.
