Automotive Mechanic / General Repair Technician

Job Description

208 Tire goes far beyond rubber and rims—we operate a full mechanical service facility. Known for our expertise in general repair, brake systems, steering/suspension, and custom aftermarket suspension lifts and leveling kits, we keep local vehicle owners coming back for quality workmanship they can trust.

Position Overview

We are hiring an experienced Automotive Mechanic capable of diagnosing and performing repairs on a wide variety of domestic and import vehicles. You will perform general maintenance, full brake services, suspension installs (including lift/level kits), and diagnostics.

Key Responsibilities

Perform vehicle inspections, diagnostics, and routine maintenance (brakes, suspension, fluids, alignment checks).
Install aftermarket suspension upgrades, lift kits, leveling kits, and performance components.
Diagnose complex electrical, engine, or mechanical issues using modern diagnostic scanners.
Communicate required repairs clearly to the Front Counter Service Advisor.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work bay.

Qualifications & Skills

2+ years of professional automotive repair experience (ASE certifications a strong plus).
Proven experience with suspension work, alignments, and brake systems.
Must own your own tools (specialty tools provided by shop).
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
