Careerscape is recruiting on behalf of our client for a detail-oriented Data Entry Assistant to join their remote team. This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in accuracy and organization to support day-to-day operations by keeping records, databases, and systems current and reliable.
Day to day, you will spend most of your time entering, updating, and verifying information across digital systems, so a sharp eye for detail and comfort working independently are essential. People who thrive in this role enjoy quiet, focused work, take satisfaction in clean and organized data, and communicate proactively when they spot inconsistencies or errors.
Responsibilities
- Enter and update data into company databases and spreadsheets accurately and efficiently
- Verify accuracy of information by comparing it to source documents
- Review and correct data discrepancies or incomplete information
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive company and customer information
- Organize and file digital records for easy retrieval
- Generate routine reports summarizing data entry activity
- Respond to requests for information from internal teams
- Assist with data cleanup and database maintenance projects
- Track daily data entry volume and meet established productivity goals
- Communicate data trends or issues to supervisors as needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Proven experience in data entry or administrative support preferred
- Strong typing speed and accuracy
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Reliable internet connection and a quiet home workspace
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
