Job Responsibilities

• Carry out thorough patient assessments, encompassing physical examinations and comprehensive medical histories
• Assist in diagnosing surgical conditions, utilizing expertise in interpreting imaging studies and lab findings
• Work in close partnership with surgeons to devise and implement patient-specific surgical treatment plans
• Provide intraoperative support, including preparing operating rooms, ensuring proper patient positioning, and managing surgical instruments with skill
• Offer outstanding pre- and post-operative care, such as administering medications, managing wound care, planning discharges, and educating patients

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Completion of clinical rotations with an emphasis on surgery is highly preferred

Certifications

• Active and unrestricted PA-C certification
• BLS and ACLS certifications are necessary
• State licensure (or eligibility) to practice as a Physician Assistant
