Accounting Manager

• Oversee full\-cycle accounting operations including AP, AR, month\-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, cash flow monitoring, and double\-entry general ledger management.

• Manage payroll processing (9 employees + 2 warehouse temps), 1099 preparation, and serve as liaison between employees and Paychex for HR\/payroll matters.

• Lead inventory management, purchasing activities, and support cost analysis within a manufacturing environment.
  <\/p><\/li>
  
  

• Supervise one direct report and act as a key liaison between ownership and employees, supporting administrative and HR functions including onboarding and offboarding.

• Maintain accurate financial records (digital and paper\-based), ensure compliance, and utilize Comet ERP and advanced Excel for reporting and analysis.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred; 7+ years of progressive accounting experience required.
    <\/p><\/li>
    
    

  • Strong payroll experience and familiarity with HR\/payroll systems (Paychex experience a plus).
    <\/p><\/li>
    
    

  • Prior managerial or supervisory experience, preferably in a small company environment.
    <\/p><\/li>
    
    

  • Advanced Excel skills and ability to learn ERP systems (Comet ERP experience preferred).
    <\/p><\/li>
    
    

  • Manufacturing industry experience preferred, including exposure to inventory, purchasing, and cost accounting.
