We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to oversee core financial operations and support sound business decision-making in Sterling, Massachusetts. This position serves as a key point of coordination between internal stakeholders and outside financial partners, helping maintain accurate reporting, steady cash management, and reliable compliance practices. Responsibilities:

• Direct daily accounting activities by coordinating with external financial service providers on bookkeeping, payroll administration, and required regulatory filings.

• Examine financial reports, invoices, expense submissions, and related records to confirm accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company policies.

• Oversee cash position monitoring, support budget performance reviews, and help ensure vendor obligations and other payments are processed on schedule.

• Lead month-end close activities, including journal entry review, general ledger oversight, and account reconciliation to maintain accurate books.

• Partner with legal and finance contacts to support contract-related financial matters, tax documentation, and audit readiness efforts.

• Prepare and analyze financial data to identify trends, inform forecasting, and strengthen short- and long-term planning.

• Recommend and implement process enhancements that improve efficiency, strengthen controls, and reduce unnecessary spending.

• Support financial statement preparation and assist with responses to audit requests from internal or external reviewers.

• Demonstrated experience in accounting or finance leadership, preferably in an accounting manager, finance manager, or supervisory capacity.
• Strong background in financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance review.
• Hands-on experience with month-end close, journal entries, general ledger management, and account reconciliations.
• Familiarity with financial statement audits, compliance requirements, and maintaining accurate financial records.
• Experience reviewing vendor payments, expense activity, and other transactional accounting processes.
• Excellent organizational skills and close attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with confidence interpreting financial information and recommending improvements.
