Crucial to their mission is Sr.-level 5-axis CNC Programming talent, folks with broad experience with Fanuc, OSP, or Mitsubishi- controlled milling equipment and proficiency in Mastercam would ensure success in this position. True 5-axis multi-axis programming experience is required as opposed to 3+2 positional.Key Responsibilities:Utilize Mastercam software to generate complete CNC programs from technical drawings or customer-supplied data files for multi-axis milling machines.Collaborate with Planning, Quality, and Production teams to meet shop production goals and optimize machining processes.Create or modify programs as necessary to meet part design requirements, ensuring precision and adherence to specifications.Generate technical "drawings" or setup documentation from programs for use in shop production and estimating.Load and verify CNC programs on FANUC -controlled, OSP, and Mitsubishi -controlled milling centers.Interpret complex engineering blueprints and apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) principles.Follow Digital Product Definition (DPD) and quality verification procedures.Program CNC machining for a variety of metals, including aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, and Inconel.Maintain strict adherence to aerospace and defense quality standards and industry specifications.Experience Requirements:10+ years of combined CNC machining and programming experience in a machine shop environment and true 5-axis simultaneous motion programming experience5+ years of hands-on experience with Mastercam or equivalent CAD/CAM software.Knowledge & Skills:Expertise in programming and operating FANUC and Mitsubishi controls.Familiarity with 3-axis, 4-axis, & true 5-axis CNC milling machines, including equipment such as OKK, KITAMURA, and OKUMA.Strong blueprint interpretation and program documentation skills.Experience with Digital Product Definition (DPD) procedures and verification software.In-depth knowledge of machining a variety of materials, including exotic metals used in aerospace and defense.Example Machines and Equipment:CNC Machines: OKK VM Series, KITAMURA HX Series, OKUMA M560-V, SNK Niigata SPN 701.Control Systems: FANUC Series 16i-MB, 31i-B, and Mitsubishi controls.Travel ranges for machining tasks: Up to 60 inches X-axis, 30 inches Y-axis, and 24 inches Z-axis.Compensation and Benefits:Competitive salary commensurate with experienceComprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, PTOOpportunities for professional growth and development within a highly skilled team.
