Shape the future of iconic spirits at Buffalo Trace Distillery (Sazerac)

We’re seeking a hands-on leader to elevate bottling line performance, coach production teams, and deliver flawless, on-time packaging results.

Role highlights

• Lead daily packaging operations for assigned lines to meet plan safely, with high quality and optimal efficiency.
• Continuously improve OEE, reduce downtime, increase yields and throughput using data-driven problem solving.
• Coordinate changeovers, start-ups, and CI activities that enable new products and packaging changes.
• Partner with Maintenance, QA, Supply Chain, and Engineering to remove barriers and implement durable solutions.

Quality, food safety, and compliance

• Enforce GMPs, sanitation, and product specifications throughout bottling processes.
• Work with QA to perform root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Ensure adherence to OSHA, FDA, TTB, and internal food safety programs; lead toolbox talks, audits, and incident reviews.

People leadership

• Develop and coach hourly associates; foster an inclusive, recognition-driven culture.
• Manage schedules, attendance, reviews, and corrective actions in partnership with HR.

Systems ownership

• Use ERP and production software to monitor performance, track work, and complete all logs and reports accurately and on time.
• Support internal and external audits, inspections, and customer assessments.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Food Science, or related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication across all organizational levels.
• Proven ability to prioritize, solve problems, and manage time in a fast-moving environment.
• Foundational understanding of manufacturing or production (via coursework, internships, or similar experiences).
• Dedication to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Microsoft Office proficiency; ERP/production software familiarity is a plus.

Preferred background

• Internship, co-op, or academic projects in manufacturing, operations, or supply chain.
• Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or other CI methodologies.
• Experience with food/beverage production, packaging, or quality control standards.
• Working knowledge of OSHA, FDA, TTB requirements.
• Visible leadership potential and an appetite for team supervision.

Work environment

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
• Available for 8-hour shifts with overtime as needed.
• Comfortable in loud, wet, humid areas near moving machinery.
• Meticulous focus on detail and product quality.

Schedule and pay

• Salary range: $70,687 - $106,031 (Placement within the salary range is calculated based upon years of directly relatable experience for the position.)
• Open shifts: 2nd (2:30pm–11:00pm) and 3rd (10:30pm–7:00am)
